What will be, will be...

Anyway I'm hoping that my 2 Lady County players will take care of them and I avoid Nicki biggrin

Thanks Tashy for your message and thank you for your contribution to my most wins title!! The black you potted when you still had 7 on the table at the demos certainly helped!!!!

I'm sure it will be another close match in the semi final Matty!

Kennington B held back by wheatsheaf meaning runners up spot goes into the last round of matches although its realistically a two horse race as we need 1 frame to over take the red lion although i am puzzled why they are ahead given were level and our frame difference is better ?

We were 6 - 4 up and endup losing 9 - 6 could have wrapped it up but got complacent.......

Firstly, Beefs, don't write off the Keys just yet. I know it's unlikely that we'll get second but you never know.

Secondly......call it a wild stab in the dark........but I think that the reason the Red Lion are ahead is because they've won more games. That is how the league works after all......biggrin

 Reading

Instead of having a stab in the dark, how about having a stab at reading the Rules.

Another team with the village idiot as Captain....

Damn, got mixed up! Just couldn't believe that Beefy might be right biggrin

But if you really wanna be picky.........a) The Secretary must also be a village idiot as he was the one who got the table wrong in the first place biggrin......and b) Since when have I been captain of the Keys?

I think you'll find the CHC idiot posted that table after the Wheaty vs Kennington match on Wednesday, I've yet to update anything...

So, WRONG again...

Phew

Apologies to the Cross Keys, they didn't make the village idiot Captain...

Cross Keys 8 - 7 Wheatsheaf

Hardly turned out to be a pasting in the end but the score could have been so much better for us if we hadn't fallen apart after being 5-0 up!

Can't remember all the idividual scores but Kev claimed the most wins with 2/3, and he did it so modestly as well.

Maybe next season we can find that elusive thing called consistency and challenge for the title? The Crown House were worthy winners this season - well played! For now, roll on the Summer League biggrin

Having been around for a few years I think I know who's **** hot, pretty good, average or not so hot.

Now, without being disrespectful to those players I'm gonna mention;

Crown House; All of their players rate average to above average as do Beefy's team. Yes one or two may perform well over a season in one league or another but none of them are consistantly in the later stages of the various Singles competitions or at the top of the Most Wins charts season after season (upon which I base 70% of my opinion of who's who).

  1) These players are new to Abingdon league so therefore haven't yet played for most wins/single comps etc.
2) These players would of been playing Oxford league thus entering the singles & playing for most wins in a Stronger league but still in a top section plus its harder to reach the later stages of comps due to the amount of "
**** hot, pretty good," players in oxford compared to Abingdon? yawn

My opinion on who's who takes into account both Abingdon and Oxford Leagues, therefore if you'd signed on better players, regardless if they had/had not played in the Abingdon League previously, you would have been in the Premier Section which, in turn, may have been enlarged to accommodate the better standard of teams...

biggrin ................lmao.gif

Crown House section one WINNERS by a mile..................biggrin

I love quotes that bite you on the arse!!!!! biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Kennington A 10 - 5 Kennington B

Star Man with 3/3 last night was THE MIGHTY MR WATSON

Thats 5/6 now in the last week, good finish to the season - well done.

Congratulations Crown house and Matty and co....... your team was stronger than ours and to be fair (although you will never get Ming to admit it - lol) should have been in the top section.
