Another great team performance last night! It was nip and tuck all the way until the final session, when we just seemed to find an extra gear. Unlucky, Midget.......come on, the Keys!
Great match once the table was levelled which we all pitched in with.
Tip for anyone never try and level a table by lifting the table up on a roller and then lowering back down. Once this approach was ditched the table became playable relatively quickly.
chances were missed by both teams on a table that to be fair was tricky to play becuase of its speed having been reclothed and new balls with a nylon covering.
given we were 8 - 4 down this was a great result and could have easily gone in our favour.
No doubt Paul will post the full match scores bur for us
Peter, Keith and Greg all got 2/3 Andrew 1/3 but to fair in the two he lost he had a break and one shot Priah was on form last night ! James "Black ball bottler" 0/3 but should have won his last after 3 fantastic positional shots then missing a 3.4 ball cut from 12" out of the corner pocket......
Paul please pass a big thanks to the land lady the food she put on was brilliant.
Prompting the quote wish we got this at county from one of the county players there (FTR potter it wasn't me this time!)
Now why did Max have to suggest stopping at KFC on the way back from county earlier !

Oh dear, Kev....were you in a rush when you typed them up? Either that or your formulae must be wrong somewhere......
For most wins purposes each game produces 30 frames played. So 30 frames x five fixtures x five weeks equals 750 total frames played. The most wins totals 701! Even if there are results missing, the total should still be a multiple of 30, so there's something not right somewhere. Similarly, total wins must be exactly half of the frames played......ie 375 IF 750 is the correct total. The most wins total is 364.....better but not close enough.
Come on, after all this waiting we deserve some accurate info

Nice to see you ain't got anything better to do with your time however, there will always be some discrepancies between the number of frames won and number of frames played because if a team is a player short, for example, then the 3 losses are not accredited to any individual player and therefore are not accounted for on the frames played total, only 27. Where a team fails to show, only 15 frames are accounted for. Addtionally, players who haven't won any frames that they've played may not currently be shown in the MW table as the macro counts them as worse than a player who hasn't lost because they haven't played
It's not inconceivable that I have missed out a couple of wins/losses for an individual but I'm sure said individual will contact me to correct any errors (subject to checking the card).
Finally, it would help if the Captain's could fill in the card correctlly using 1's and 0's instead of W's and L's as the no expense spared automatic card scanning software mistakes a badly written L for a 1. In future I will reject incorrectly fill in cards....

Nice to see you ain't got anything better to do with your time - Correct because if a team is a player short, for example, then the 3 losses are not accredited to any individual player and therefore are not accounted for on the frames played total - Are they not? How strange......

The Keys stats are wrong for starters. By my reckoning Tim should 9 out of 15, not 14......and Charli should have 7 out of 14, not 11.

Perhaps the monkey should get back to rattling his tin and let me deal with the organ grinder

This was all done from memory, you know......I can't get it right ALL the time
Tim's should be 10 out of 15, that's now confirmed. I don't understnad Charli's though (but am not saying they're wrong)......did we only have 4 players in the 1st match then?

First it's 9 outta 14 now it's 10 outta 15, make your mind up. And now you don't know who actually plays/played for you.
So, when you finally make up you mind, GET YOUR CAPTAIN to email me with the folowing info; Who's stats appear wrong and for which week. That way I can amend any mistakes without having to trawl though results un-necessarily...

too much thinking in your team, not enough fact...

OK, lets get this straight.......
Tim's should be 10 out of 15. I initially wrote 9 out of 15 as my correction, not 9 out of 14 as you stated
Secondly, as Baz pointed out, we played you in the first game and whoever this missing person of ours is, you were there, so you should know. I wasn't there and don't know.
Finally, in a Ming-type reply.........if you typed all the results up correctly in the first place, you wouldn't have to trawl through them all unnecessarily
Well we never really missed much we were all in pretty good form last night and to be fair to wootton there not the same team that got promoted last year plus lady luck never turned up for them, great bunch of lads and they didnt seem bothered by the score, lets keep it going next week........
M Cooper T Keep J Watson K Withers P DeBanks B Viner N Kinsey C Viner A Gee S Keep
M Cooper T Keep A Gee B Viner N Kinsey S Keep P DeBanks C Viner J Watson K Withers
A Gee K Withers J Watson T Keep P DeBanks S Keep N Kinsey B Viner M Cooper C Viner
Seven wins out of seven now for the Keys. A better start than any of us could ever have hoped for I think! A week off next week as a reward is in order methinks
Ming, any chance of updating the league tables ?????????
Captains were sent a email with the current League Tables, that's if they're on my email list. The website will be updated by Saturday
