7 wins out of 7 for the Keys, and we're not even top of the league.....who came up with this rubbish points system?
I shall be lobbying for change at the AGM
Never been in favour of this kinda points system myself, however we had an system at the World Championships where winning a match automatically gave you 3 points but a bonus point was up for grabs depending on the match score.
So in the context of the current system; A 10-5 win or greater would see the winning team get 4 points (3pts+1 bonus pt) and a 9-6 or 8-7 win would see the winning team get 3pts and the losing team get the 1 bonus point.
The league tables could be very different considering the number of close matches we've had so far this season.

Just waiting for the wheels to fall off the cross keys wagon ........only a matter of time!!........my bet is it will happen THIS sunday Red lion v's Cross keys ............Enjoy your moment at the top lads, i can see the wheels starting to wobble
The only reason they are top is cos they claimed 3 frames

No. We are top because you lost.
Hook. Line. Sinker.
I tell you what I got a big bite here.
In fairness, we have lost 3....that's 3 more than you...and we are only a point behind. How? You should really be streaks ahead of us. Ah well, game on.

Looking at the standard of players in your team Matt we expect the crown house to win the league. So as far as i see it we have nothing to lose. Where you have all the pressure to win.
No pressure here! as we have natural talented players we dont suffer pressure More pressure on you guys to maintain your unusual unbeaten run As i suspect once the wheels fall off the pressure will be to much for you
Nobody picked us out as even potential winners of this section at the start of this season, let alone favourites for the title. I think our form and consistency has surprised us as much as anybody else. If there's any pressure on us, it's only coming from outside the team, not from within the team.
As for squads....well.....the Crown House wins that one hands down. It's full of county/ex-county players, as well as numerous players who are just as good for back up, should they be needed. In fact, i'd say in terms of players who play regularly, the CH has the best squad in the Prem/Section One combined. If either of us SHOULD be winning more games, it's definitely not us.
Obviously the points system doesn't help us much either. We'd be 9 points clear if it was good old 3 pts for a win. Surely that has to go after this season? Using the points system we currently do, you fully deserve to be only a point behind us.......but nobody can say that the league table is a true reflection of how a lot teams have performed so far this season.
Finally, maybe the CH don't feel pressure.......doesn't mean that they can't let a 7-4 lead slip though
Mid-table mediocrity.......at a push .......and that's if they actually turned up! We know what a chore it is for you Oxford lot to make the trip out here sometimes
