FYI Malc, I seriously doubt that Will will come up from Devon just to knock you out of the singles next monday.

I will attempt to contact him to find out if he's coming up for it but I doubt he will.

I'm sure I can find your number kicking about somewhere. He's staying with his mum in Devon for a bit. He will be back but I doubt he will bother with catching a train up to Ox just to play a singles match.

I don't think so as i asked this last year

 

Surely its better to have someone play the game than for the opponent to end up with the BYE?  I think it should be OK as long as its first round only.

Afternoon, Milhouse.  This is the rule as taken from the Rules & Constitution (available online http://www.ocpf.co.uk/media/Mondayleague/PoolLeagueRules1011.pdf)

After the Competitions entry deadline has been passed, you can replace players that may subsequently not be entering up until the 1st Round, but players cannot be swapped round after the draw has been made. Seven days notice of any changes must be given to the Competitions Secretary, Nicki Kinsey on 07740 356398.

I presume that's what your missed call was about last night - I couldn't answer it as I was in charge of my choo-choo!

Not ball by ball but with a bit of help from my trusty magic wand in the decider I scrapped THROUGH 3 - 2 biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin 

Kev wasn't at his best but did take the chances I gave him and it was nice to finally get one over on him in a singles competition instead of losing deciding frames.
