Monday 14th March is Speed Pool Night - a new competition for the Monday night pool league.
See the poster below for more details, and The Grinder or myself can answer any questions you may have if you post them on this thread. Should be a fun evening!
So, who's coming next week then? We're hoping to field two teams from our squad, and chatting to Jaz last night her team have been busy practising!
One slight change to the rules above, in the Singles Event rule 12 will be amended so that the timing starts as the player breaks off. This brings it into line with how most other similar events operate.

Good stuff mate. I'd be amazed if we got to the full 32 entries given there's only 22 teams in the league now, and I'm sure a few of the lower section teams won't bother to come, but get there for 8pm just to be sure as it'll be done on a first come-first served.
Section One leaders, Rose Hill, have just confirmed they'll be bringing one team.
Young hotshots? I reckon you're all getting on a bit now to be called young shotshots!
Just coz Benny's now the wrong side of 30 doesn't mean I am!!
And for as long as I'm still getting IDed for fags (happened again yesterday), I reckon I can still claim to be young. And both Robadob and Jimbo are even younger than me
Hope those who came down enjoyed themselves? We didn't get as many teams a we'd hoped, but it was still a great laugh!
Team Winners: Rose Hill - Malc, Jamey and Tom Weeks.
Team Runners-up: Crown House 'B' (or was it 'A'?) - Jimmy Millar, What-What and me.
Singles Winner: Adam Brown - 53 seconds
Next Best: Jamey Street - 55 seconds, Pete Mac 1m 07s, Jamie Saczak 1m 08s.
Fastest lady: Nicki Kinsey - 1m 40s
Next best: Jaz Venning - 1m 43s
Most attempts of the night: A race between Fuller and Jimbo, but Jimbo pulled clear with about 145 goes I think! His best time was a 1m 20s which was enough to get him a bottle of wine!
Slowest of the night: A 'race' between Phil Hearne's 3m 09s recorded early on (though he did go on to record a 1m 50s), and Tashy who we gave up recording on!

I'm sure I seen Tashy on my way home after finishing work at 6.30am, did they just leave him the keys...
