Ming, can you post the details of this event again please. Handicaps, entry fees and prize pay-outs. My memory isn't what it used to be. I here that most of the World Rules players might have a county game on the Sunday. Does this mean they can't enter? Is it still over the two days? How many of the site users are going to this?? Ash, Lucky, LBJ, Barney, Millhouse etc? Would be good to see you guys there. General, I hope some of the Bicester boys will be attending, you guys know World Rules quite well. I will be attending as I have some players coming from other areas to suppport it.-- Edited by The Chin at 11:19, 2005-11-14

Good planning this one clashing with a county game !
As most BAPTO County players, let alone B team players didn't turn up for the BAPTO event, it's hardly likely that they'll turn up for the World Rules one. As for the World Rules county match, this was re-arranged from last week so there's not much i can do about that. Once again, more opportunities for the lesser known players to shine.

It will be held over 2 days, Saturday up to Quarters or semi's and the rest on sunday. Players will have to choose what they do if they get through on sunday

I'll be there again, trying my best against you blokes. And if any of you are still there mid evening (hopefully 9pm ish) there'll be a brief guest appearance by the 1985/86 Monday night singles champion.
For the record I won't be there. I'm busy tomorrow plus have county match on Sunday (cos I'm likely to get through to the Sunday!), plus it'll take me about 4 weeks to learn the rules.
So is it only going to be myself, ming and PQ attending then?
Me & Lee in the Final then. No doubt in six months they'll be on here moaning about the lack of pool tournaments in Oxford. Hopefully they'll look in the mirror to see who's to blame

It's my brothers Wedding tommorow, So not much point in wasting the whole day there today.
I even had to cancel my Track Day at Cadwell Park today due to the Wedding and what comes with it.
Should be a good event with the world rules format, my money is on Tim - Providing he has a easy'ish first round it will give him enough time to have a few Beers and stop the shakes lol
Excellent! And I didn't even enter. I'll come down tomorrow after playing in Reading to pick up the cheque.
This was the REAL Barney. This guy can play the game!
Well done Ming, was a good event. Shame that the EPA county match kept a lot of players away.
You obviously played a different Andy to the one I met in the semi final!!
I was lucky to have 2 visits to the table when he cleared everything in sight to hammer me 6-1!!. One of the best displays of pool I have seen from anyone in a long time.
Even LBJ was lost for words at how well this guy can play!!
It is nice that the prize money stayed local, but if Andy is prepared to drive down from Rugby to support these events, I say fair play to him.
I will invite him again and hopefully he will bring a few other players with him next time.
He asked me to pass on his thanks to Ming and all involved for a well run event, that he was made to feel very welcome at.
Lets get our heads together soon Ming and sort out some events for next year.
