We just needed a win to secure the Premier Section title, and we got it - just!  All looking good after some great play from Boinky and Pete Mac, and then Keith got over the line to get us up to 6-3.  Browny on next and to be fair Lee Trinder played some great stuff to win 2-1.  Just a frame needed against Scooby, and at any rate we were guaranteed the draw, but after Scooby went 1-0 up a draw loomed large, which would have meant we might need a result in our last match.  Never fear though as LBJ held his nerve to take out his last four balls and the black to win us the title for the first time since we last won it on frame difference way back in 2004/5.  Proud of my team! biggrin

Nice to finish off the season with a win, and Boinky also made sure of most wins for himself alone by beating James Bound.

I think Boinky and Pom finished level on Most Wins.

Cheers, Jamie.  I thought Pom was finishing two behind (level with Browny) though as they were all level going into last night's match and both Pom and Browny were supposed to be away!  But if Pom played and won then, yes, they'll share most wins then.  Good job Boinky thought he was already guaranteed at least as share of it as otherwise he wouldn't have put himself up against James Bound!
