Britain’s richest ever pub pool competition launched in October 2005 with a winner-takes-all prize of £50,000 and the chance to win a million dollar speed clearance jackpot.
The Pub Pool Challenge is a unique one-frame competition open to everyone, amateur and professional alike with the finals on Sky Sports in July 2006.
With the realistic prospect of more than 250,000 players taking part across the country, the Pub Pool Challenge is sure to become one of the UK’s largest sporting events.
Every pub or club with a pool table has the chance to hold at least one qualifying competition supplying a champion to go through to the area finals.
At every stage all matches are one frame long, giving everyone the best chance to beat the top players, so there’s absolutely no guarantee that the pros will triumph.
Players can enter the first round as many times as they like, but they can only qualify once for subsequent stages.
The unique entry pack contains winners’ prizes, free bets, holiday discounts, pool equipment discounts as well as the competition rules, posters, draw sheets and a step-by-step guide to the Pub Pool Challenge.
During the live televised finals, players will have the chance to win a sensational million dollar prize. A total clearance in less than 10 seconds will guarantee at least a share in the richest ever prize in pub pool.
Pub qualifiers staged between October 2005 and March 2006.
Will be intresting to see which venues they choose in Oxford. You never know Millhouse or Beefy could go through.....
Daniel Marks in Reading is the nearest "Agent" for this event to us. I would imagine that unless someone is prepared to be an "Agent" for Oxford, those wishing to enter will have to travel to Reading.
How many qualify from each venue then. If you can enter the first round as many times as you want, there should only be one person left at each venue that hasn't qualified for the second round!?

Reading the details, you have to pay £75 for the pack to hold an event and only 1 player gets through.
I am speaking with the landlord of the Tandem tonight to talk about hosting one.

He won`t even pay a £1 for the visiting team to have a knock-up
I have posters and entry forms, so if anyone wants a set just let me know

You sourpuss if you had not gone on about it so much maybe you might have got one of the spare coins not used but instead one of your other team members had a game aftterwards with one so I would shut up moaning about it !

A knock-up is usually before the match starts & for the whole team, not after the match with one player if there is any change left.

I believe Colours are also running a qualifier for this even. I'll put the details here as and when I get them!
