I wouldn't be too concerned over it. It's only a little light hart'ed banter and even if someone was to take it serious - he's hardly a spokes person for the Oxfordshire County now is he? Unless of course you're really narrow minded..

If you lot read the thread in full you will see it is a justified comment. The thread highlights unsportsmanlike banter that Derby Youths hurled at their opponents over the whole weekend of the finals. I did not say we cheered it in I simply said we loved it when the Derby lad went in off and were glad to see Jamey go through to the next round.


Personally I do not like cheering the white in off and in the Semis one of our Youth shouted it louded enough for everyone to hear when a cambridge player went in off but you have to love it when it happens but do not show it.


That is what my comment on 8 ball.com was saying not we cheered the white in when it was heading for the pocket !


If you going to pull people up on what they say make sure you have read it in the right contaxt first.

I did read the forum in full.


I thought most of the comments on there were stupid too, not just yours!


If you have to drop to their level, that is fine, but no need to mention the county with it.


If you look at the forum in detail Keith, you will notice that most of the posts on it are from Youth players, who you can excuse for their attitude towards that type of thing.


Sorry mate, but no excuses in my mind.  That is just MY opinion.


We will agree to disagree on this then..

I said we loved it not that we cheered at the in off - big difference.


We did cheer Jamey on the back of the win how ever it came though.

Not dropping to their level at all.

I don't know the names only went by the postings and it seemed like every one was upset by it so I merely gave an example of where there player was up against some severe support backing his opponent.


I might be wrong but even the Berks manager was annoyed in his posting (Lofts)

If I said we cheered every foul and barracked his every shot then I could understand your comments but I didn't and more importantly the people supporting Jamey didn't either !
