I’m sure that everyone will be pleased to know that there will be at least one player from OXFORDSHIRE that will be representing England at POOL next season, as I have just received “the phone call” from the England Team Manager, to say that I HAVE been retained for the forthcoming season. (2006/2007)
This will take me into my 8th consecutive season for the renamed English Blackball Pool Federation Team, (EBPF) formally the England Counties Pool Federation. (ECPF)
And all this after a “VERY” successful and continuous career (1984-1994) within the English Pool Association (EPA) National team, which saw me rise to vice captain for the last four seasons, and during then captaining the side 9 times, which included some of the current players still involved, (Brewer, Kendall, Twist etc)

I hear that my fellow team member and good mate Lee Brown-John secured a place in the squad (albeit as one of the two reserves) in the trials todauy. Unfortunately that was it as The Chin, Matty Challen, Marcus and JFK didn't make it. Did any of the women have any luck?
Well done to Brown-John. I suspect we'll never hear the end of it...!
