JFK tells me they had to be rescheluled due to clashes with other events, and also a Bristol based ladies team entering last minute. He says he'll forward them to me shortly so I can get them on the site.
Why don't you ask the Captains? Or ask those who were missing?
I see from the EPA fixtures from the official EPA site in region 5 Oxford had a county game yesterday at home to Northants !
Yes there were a few players missing from the first match but then thats why we have a large squad to cover that when it happens.
My only hope is if any of those players who did not play yesterday played at colours for Oxford EPA yesterday they had the curtoursey to tell our team managers this if they had been asked to play.
I don't think people playing both is an issue as long as they are honest about it and tell the team managers they are doing so at the start of the season.
At the end of the day I am sure Oxford is not the only county that experiencing this clash of fixtures. The governing bodies are to blame not the players. The fixtures for EPA come out way before Black ball so there is no reason why they should clash.

How can you say its not an issue ? It shows a lack of commitment does it not ?
What about the people who have played this match and then will have to miss out the next match because these other people are playing ? (if they should be, but thats another topic).
You are either committed to the OCPF or EPA. Sorry, but i don't think you should be in both teams. It is something that shouldn't be happening and causes a lot of unhappiness within the team.

Wanting to play for both does not show lack of commitment but unfortunately players are being made to choose because both org's clash their fixture dates.

If their reason is simply playing for the other county than its up to the managers to decide if this is a fair reason for not being available.
Its not that different from when people are away on Holiday / ill / working, this also lets someone else in and if they win the manager has the same issue. Do you bring back the player absent in favour of the player brought in to cover your space or drop that person and put you back in simply because you were selected but turned out to be unavailable for the previous fixture.
This is a constant dilema for any manager of a team with more players than places. Thats why it is such a diffcult balance you can't please all the people all of the time !

It does cause problems in the team but only becuase of clashing fixture dates. May be the players should be told at the start of the season if they choose the alternative county game they will have to wait to get back into the team because someone else has been given their place and if they win will stay in. This may make them think twice before switching back and forth !

Thats fair enough. Was that a late or early start ? I was talking to someone yesterday and they said they saw you in Debenhams at around 12.30 and thought it strange you wasn't playing county.

Didn't look to me like there were too many outstanding performances though.
No there wasn't ! B's 6 - 2 up and only won 5 out of the remaining 19 frames !
They brought so much food out it knocked us all off our game becuase it came out late in the FIRST leg when we were 6 - 2 up !
Maybe we should try a similar trick ! Both teams played on one table and it got very slow at one point I think the total match time was close on 5 hours for the b's and over 4 hours for the A's.
One table venues should not be allowed ! Why do Berkshire continue to employ this tactic now West Berks are doing it as well.

Next Match sees Oxford B take on Berks C and after last weeks results needing a Win at Colours on Sunday. Gonna be a long day with the football at 4pm !
.....And then opening up a big can of Whoop-Ass on the Oracle boys and girls
