Well I would say that is debatable for you Barney, some rather bad shot selections by your opponents helped you along which to be fair where few and far between from Berks C in the first 2 legs.
yes you got three but one was gifted !

Try giving your pearls of wisdom to those who didn't win yesterday. It's not the best policy to pi** off the players who win frames else you'll end up with a very weak team...

Touchy !
If you read the post I simply said you were gifted one of your frames I didn't say you didn't deserve it quite the opposite you were on the black your opponent went in off one of his yellows and you made the most of it - end of.
If you read between the lines my comments about the opponents making few mistakes in the first two legs makes your 2 out 2 even sweeter. The score sheet is what counts not how you win or lose and its read played 3 won 3 well done.
Must say though it was nice for someone else to get lucky as usually its me thats get good fortune like that and then everyone simply says he was lucky.
Hopefully get the match report to Ash either tonight or tomorrow.

How is saying someone was lucky to win one of their games trying to piss someone off ? I thought you were lucky in 2 of your games, but your on our team so thats fine.
If you are getting upset about Beefy's comment, i think you need to have a look at yourself.

It would seem that you don`t use this theory in picking your team on Thursdays ! If your method is used to pick the next County team you`ll be dropped after winning.

What policy does Barney use drop the winners what incentive is that - I got it its Barneys way making sure he has most wins in the team

Sorry, forgot to mention "Ash managed to win 2 without knowing the rules !"

Isty that an apt posting becuase that summs up the probelm in Oxfordshire Pool. We have great players in this area and I have no doubt we could win both the A's and B's at national finals if certain people had a different attitude towards county or people that choose not to play for what ever reason changed their minds.
There are also those who are only interested in the A side when up until last year the B's had previously been the only side to progress to the semi's at the natioanl finals.
There is nothing wrong with playing for the B's and Kevin comments yesterday were pricesless, "There is more pressure in the B's to win" or something like that I am sure he will say it on here for himself soon.

I don't make many posts, but felt i should on this occassion to congratulate beefy on making a very valid point. It doesn't happen often, so he should be commended when he finally thinks of something worth saying.
Good wins for Oxford Yesterday with all sides winning.
Wiltshire A's gave our A side a tight contest in the end but came up just short as Oxford A secured the win in the final 3 frames.
Covincing win for the B's 21 - 6 against a side with limited experience and ability in my opinion although they did win some of their 6 frames fair and square but also nicked a few of them with some quite wild shot selections.
Legs 6 - 3, 7 - 2 and 8 - 1 respectively we got better and they got worse !
Womens also winning after a very long day finishing at 6.30pm and only involving 21 frames but was on one table for the best part of the match.
Why is it all the venues with Good tables only seem to have 3 or 4 tables and means a long day played on one table.
May be we should go for the same strategy in Oxford and show other teams what it feels like to get home at 8pm !
Berkshire (Star Inn) 3 tables one for womens, Mens A and B respectively
West Berks (Thatcham snooker club) 3 tables but only 2 used for mens A and B
Somerset (Rugby Club just outside Bath last year) One table mens A only
Wiltshire (Trowbidge Snooker Club) Four tables, one for Mens A, B and Womens respectively and one not used initially.
Reasonable finishes
Berks C (Star Inn) Mens B only but do get to use both tables
Hampshire (Academy Basingstoke) This has always been the exception they have good tables and 2 per team.

Yup, was slightly annoyed yesterday. They brought the food out early (i.e. before the 2nd leg had finished) although this was still around 3.30pm which is a bit late for lunch (for me anyway). What annoyed me though was the fact that I was playing (8th) at the time. After my match I duly went over to pick up some food to find 3 mashed up sandwiches, 2 sausage rolls and a bag of crisps was all that was left.

I would have to agree with you Barney when they brought it out it looked a lot of food but after the initial rush by the womens teams and the mens team players who were not involved in a game there was not a lot left. I had 3 sandwiches, 2 sausages and 2 mini eggs plus a bag of crisps and I was about 1/3 of the way in the queue. In my opinion not good enough considering the amount of time we were there given the playing conditions.
I have played 3 Wiltshire away fixtures in the last 4 seasons, although one of them got changed to Colours becuase of failing to give adequate notice of a cancellation and this is the first time I have had any food. It was a problem when they were at Gangsters and still looks like a problem to me.
At £2.40 a pint of diet coke off the mix I reckon they could have put a little more food out. They must be making at least £2 a pint from that alone. We had seven drivers there yesterday in addition to those who had their cars at Rileys and therefore were unable to drink as well.
