The draw is now out for the Golden Cue tournament this weekend at Great Yarmouth.
Oxfordshire has 4 teams in it highlighted in bold.
The Tandem team consists of myself, Keith Hollis, Jimmy Cairns and Jamey Street. Who's in the other 3 teams?
Lucky Shears and County, both have a lie in. Early night Friday for us.

The team we (The Tandem) have drawn, The Rose and Crown, Barnsley, lost 5-4 last year in the first round to The Royal Oak B, Littleborough who then lost in the second round 5-4 so for those in my team who think we have drawn a good Northern team, they can't be that good.

They did well Isty.  The last 16 qualify for the Masters Event in Blackpool.  Not sure how many runners there are.  I think they go into the prelims to be drawn against the top 64 pros after that.  Will be tough to make the tv stages, but who knows??!!


Nathan, Paddy and Thorpy got to the last 16 of the Golden Cue too, so it was a good weekend for Nathan.


Not quite so good for the Tandem though, I think they got dumped out 5-0 in the first round.


Not sure if they entered the singles plate.


I wonder if Ash will take his league winning 3-man team up there next year to compete?

According to the EPA site Nathan lost 5 - 2 in the final round to Graham Mott but I thought he qualified as well. (http://www.epa.org.uk/masters06qual2.php). I've been told there'll be 384 entries at Blackpool in the Masters. 128 from the IPA, 128 from the WEPF and 128 from the EPA so they still have a long way to go but I'm really looking forward to it with 3 Oxfordshire players there. (Pete Armitage in the World singles).

Well done to County Club, Bicester for qualifying for the last 16 in the Golden Cue. Great achievement. We - The Tandem - did bomb out 5 - 0 in the first round but we all played in the plate singles. I lost 3 - 1 in the first round, beefy lost in the second round and Jimmy lost in the last 32 winning £20 so drinks are on him tonight.

Hazel - just checked the EPA site and they have made a error with Nathans reslut - Nathan won 5-2.


Could you contact one of the officials and rectifiy this? I'll PM you Nathans number.
