Leo "the hat" McMakin died yesterday of cancer. He was one of the best exhibitionists I have ever seen and my thoughts go out to his family.

RIP Leo. You'll be greatly missed.

Its a great shame as his challenge Leo used to be so entertaining at the Scholar Gypsy in Kennington.


The pub has long gone now but still remember the games with people thinking they had him beat only to watch him clear the table.

I'll second that Keith. Saw him there not long after i started playing pool and it was a real eye-opener of how good you can become by practicing. Took a fiver off him aswell that night

Really sorry to hear that too, he was a great character.  One of the best exhibitionists i have ever seen. although haven't seen him for a couple of years. but still great.
