With this thursday being the last week of league games being played before the new blackball rules come to all the oxford leagues.


I for one can't wait for the change, even though i prob will not win many games myself.


What is the general opinion of the rule changes, maybe it would be good to hear from the people who have played these rules in matches.

The biggest bug-bare will be the quality of the tables. As with World Rules a decent table and set of balls will dictate how games are played.

I prefer Blackball rules to E&UKPF as you can't just sneak up behind a ball if you get out of postition. (Or you want to be boring ). Snookering now takes a lot more skill. They seem a more attacking set of rules, it will be interesting to see how the old fudgers get on.

I much prefer Blackball rules, but i can see problem on in Thursday league bottom section 70% don't know the rules now, let alone Blackball!
